Senior Consultant - Stakeholder Communications (12-month contract)
The Role
As a Senior Consultant, you will be a specialist expert in reporting and broader communications with in-depth and evolving knowledge of the reporting landscape, including trends, regulation (e.g. ISSB, CSRD, SEC) and best practice. You will act as a trusted advisor, bringing deep subject matter expertise and strategic leadership to clients, leading high-profile client engagements, contributing to conversion of opportunities, and creating thought leadership to support profile building.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A MATERNITY COVER CONTRACT, STARTING FROM SEPTEMBER 2025 FOR 12 MONTHS.
A Senior Consultant will be focused on:
• Providing senior-level strategic advice to clients, guiding them through complex communication challenges, and helping them develop effective strategies and solutions.
• Leading high-quality client engagements, managing relationships at senior levels, and driving client growth and advocacy.
• Playing a key role in business development by proactively identifying and securing opportunities for growth, being an active advocate externally, leading pitch presentations, and shaping proposals.
• Acting as a thought leader, contributing to our research, developing expert commentary on emerging trends and shaping our point of view, you will help to raise Emperor’s profile externally. • Supporting the growth of more junior consultants.
Success in this role means being recognised as a subject matter expert both internally and externally, driving impactful client solutions, and contributing to the ongoing growth and evolution of Emperor’s propositions.
Responsibilities -
• Provide senior-level consultancy, delivering strategic advice, insights, and recommendations that shape clients’ communication and reporting strategies.
• Lead and oversee client projects, ensuring excellence in execution and delivering measurable value.
• Build and nurture long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser and go-to expert in your field.
• Develop and deliver compelling pitch presentations, shaping proposals, and securing new business opportunities.
• Proactively identify opportunities and be an active networker to build profile and external relationships.
• Stay ahead of regulatory and market developments, actively contributing to shape Emperor’s point of view and translate these into strategic opportunities for clients and our service offerings.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, supporting their professional growth and strengthening the internal knowledge base.
