French-speaking Senior Account Manager - FTC/freelance
The role
Due to some exciting new business wins, we are looking for a French-speaking Senior Account Manager to join us on a fixed-term or freelance contract basis, supporting our growing team in Edinburgh.
You will help to deliver high-impact corporate communications projects for an impressive list of clients across Europe. As a Senior Account Manager, you will thrive in a fast-paced agency environment where strategic thinking, storytelling, and meticulous attention to detail are key.
This role is focused on:
• Serving as the day-to-day client contact, maintaining efficient, proactive communication, and handling all documentation.
• Building trust and rapport with clients by embodying reliability, clear judgment, and adaptability, ensuring a seamless client experience.
• Cultivating long-term client relationships to drive client retention and satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Account Directors to produce cost estimates and pitch materials for prospective clients and new work.
Success is measured by your positive impact on the commercial value of your client relationships – and the extent to which your clients become advocates who will want to work with us wherever they work.
What you’ll be doing in this role
• Act as the primary contact for clients, ensuring an exceptional client experience with efficient, clear communication.
• Serve as a trusted partner to clients, taking initiative to deepen client relationships and proactively identify growth opportunities.
• Oversee the delivery process, from kickoff through completion, managing program details and coordinating with internal teams for smooth execution.
• Ensure thorough documentation, including client agendas, contact reports, and updates on progress and performance against targets.
• Lead scoping and requirements sessions, accurately defining project needs and specifications to align with client expectations.
• Liaise with production teams and specialists, ensuring each team member’s expertise is utilised to add maximum value to the project.
• Actively participate in knowledge sharing, support colleagues, and contribute to team pitches with support.
What you’ll need to be successful in this role
- Previous experience working in a communications or integrated agency setting, working in a similar client services or internal communications role
- Fluency in French – excellent speaking, reading, and writing skills – as well as strong communication skills in English
- Confidence in managing client relationships and leading and delivering projects on time and to a high standard
- Availability on an FTC or freelance basis from November/December 2025 for 4-5 months until spring 2026
- Demonstrable experience in managing and delivering integrated annual reports and ESG reports is strongly preferred
- Ideally, you will be able to work from our Edinburgh office 2–3 days a week (hybrid working)
